BABY BIRCH ROOM (0-2 yrs)

Our 0-2 year old room is a sensory wonderland, tailor designed to immerse our youngest children in an environment where they can explore, be curious and when tired just sleep it off underneath the Buckingham First stars.

There is a separate eating / arts & crafts level, and a dedicated no shoe soft zone as we like to keep things clean and hygienic for our crawlers. Come and visit us to experience our sensory dens, beautiful reading garden and our messy terrace, and you will see why our Baby Birch room is so special.

Little elms ROOM (2-3 yrs)

The 2-3s room begins to create a more structured learning environment for the children whilst maintaining some of the important softer areas, recognising that although growing fast they still need plenty of cuddles and gentle guidance throughout the day.

The room is designed to explore the key seven areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage, from Communication and Language to Expressive Arts & Design. Every activity is led with careful planning and observation to make sure that your child develops in the best way possible.

RISING PINES ROOM (3-5 yrs)

The 3-5s room is where we extend the childrens learning to prepare them for starting school. There is an increased emphasis on practitioner led structured learning, based around the key learning areas. This prepares our children for the teaching structure they will experience in Reception and Year 1 at school. 

It will be sad for us as the children prepare to graduate from Buckingham First, but we know that they will have had the best time building relationships and life skills here, and their learning journey is set to continue beyond our walls.

Outdoor Play area

Buckingham First Nursery has two secured outdoor play areas, one for the younger children and one for the older. With a mixture of soft and hard areas, the children can be active and explore the full range of outdoor play designed for their physical development. 

Kitchen

Our 5 hygiene rated kitchen is fully equipped to cook nutritious home style food, with separate cookers, fridges and preparation counters for vegetarian and other special dietary requirements (including allergies).

We take cleanliness, hygiene and food preparation very seriously and our cook and management team hold various qualifications to support us in doing this.
